What gives access to a project?
A person can report on a project if any of these is true:
- the project is open to everyone
- the person has access to the whole customer
- a group the person belongs to has the project or the whole customer
- the person is added to the project
The customer, project and person pages say why someone has access. Archived projects and tasks can never be reported on.
Groups
Under Users → Groups you create groups with New group and choose Add to the group. A person can be in several groups.
Ej tilldelad (unassigned)
Everyone is always in at least one group. Anyone with no other group is in the automatic group Ej tilldelad, and goes back there when their last group is removed.
The group can't be renamed, removed or given people by hand. It can be given access, though, so that new people have the right projects from the start.
The matrix
Under Users → Access, choose a group, search for a customer, project or code and click the boxes. The change applies at once.
Ticking a whole customer applies to all its projects, including those created later.
