Under Settings → Import time, owners and admins can move in time from another system.
1. Upload
Choose a CSV file (csv, txt or tsv, at most 5 MB), or paste rows from Excel with the heading row.
2. Columns and preview
AnnoTracker guesses the columns from the headings, and you can change each guess or choose Skip. Date, project, person and hours must be there.
| Value | What can be read |
|---|---|
| Date | 2026-10-05, 5/10/2026, 05.10.2026, Excel day numbers. Day first. |
| Hours | 1,5, 1.5, 1:30, 01:30:00, 90 min, 1h 30m |
| Billable | ja/nej, yes/no, true/false, 1/0, x |
The preview saves nothing. These are left out, and you see why:
- rows that can't be read
- more than 24 hours
- a locked period
- rows that collide with existing time for the same person, day, project and task
Unknown people and names
For a person AnnoTracker doesn't recognise, choose Link to, Invite by email or Create without login. Unknown customers, projects and tasks you create new or link to existing ones. Then press Save the choices.
3. Import
Press Import. Exactly what you saw in the preview is saved.
Undo
Under Settings → Imports there is Undo the import:
- all time from the import is removed, even if it was changed later
- customers, projects and tasks it created are removed if unused, otherwise archived
- people without a login and without other time are removed
- unused invitations are withdrawn
An import with time in a locked period can't be undone.
